The DB Search application allows visitors to search an online database to see if the criteria they enter, such as a telephone number or service area, matches a record in the database. Depending on the result of the search, various screens display with user defined responses and links. The administrator can define all messages displayed in the program including the welcome message, successful search and unsuccessful search messages.
This application can be used to do such things as test for the ability to provide service to a particular visitor. If the search is successful, a visitor can then be linked to an online sign-up form. If the search is unsuccessful, the visitor can be linked to an alternate offering or be allowed to try again.
