The Shopping Cart is a robust application that enables eCommerce functionality on a web site, Extranet or Intranet. Once enabled, the administrator can set cart parameters, manage shipping options, upload images and enter descriptions and pricing for products. The cart has support for multiple volume discounting and also for additional pricing by user-defined product options. A product can have an unlimited number of options such as color, size, material, etc.
Visitors can search for items by category, manufacturer or by typing a keyword. Once visitors have found items they want to purchase, they can easily add items, remove items, change quantities, change shipping options and re-calculate totals in their shopping cart.
Upon order submittal, the application emails a confirmation to the purchaser and sends a copy to the user-defined order notification address. The order can then be opened in the Manage Orders module and updated, filled, shipped and invoiced. Alternately, the application can work in conjunction with an outside clearinghouse for online payment and order processing.
